McKayla Rose Maroney (also known as "Mack Air Maroney") is an American known gymnast. She won gold with her US Olympian gymnastics team and a silver individual medal during the Summer Olympic Games in 2012. In the beginning she was influenced to pursue a career in gymnastics due to her parents who were sports enthusiasts. She specialized in the vault and is the only one to defend one gold medal in this event that she claimed at the 2011 World Championship and later won in the 2013 Championship. The gymnast was unhappy when she was awarded the silver medal for vaulting at the Olympics of 2012. Olympics and wanted another shot at gold in the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. Because of an injury as well as various other problems her coach had to announce that she would be retiring from gymnastics ahead of this year's Olympic Games. Apart from gymnastics and television McKayla also plans to become a first-time performer. McKayla's prospects are promising.
